Brass Rods Production Process
Raw-materials reception and storage
The process starts with reception, control and selection of high quality raw-materials acquired to feed the furnaces.

Foundry
Continuous casting of billets.

Extrusion
Cutting and heating of billets for extrusion of bars and brass bars.

Pickling of bars
The bars for machining suffer an additional pickling operation by wet process for removal of the oxidized surface obtaining a yellow and shiny color.

Machining
The process of machining consists of introducing the bars in to integrated drawing lines. In these lines, all the producing orders follows the same sequence: calibration, straightening and correction of the material to final dimensions, burnishing, cutting, chamfering and packing.

Weighting, labelling and expedition
Loading of trucks or containers with all the documentation that follows the material sent: Bill of landing; Packing list; Certificate of Inspection.
